I hope you’re all safe and healthy and finding ways to stay positive and enjoy life while large parts of the world are currently in shutdown because of the coronavirus.
Please excuse me for posting the written article to last Sunday’s video with such a long delay. At least this post now contains more updates as a result.
A lot of you asked me how I feel about P2P lending right now and if I changed my strategy. So that’s exactly what I want to discuss today, in addition to how platforms and loan originators are responding to the crisis.
After a lot of thinking and research over the past few weeks and the holidays, as well as everything that happened since December with Kuetzal, I made a decision. I’m withdrawing my money from Envestio, Monethera and Wisefund.
I want to explain my thought process, what I found out during my research of the three P2P platforms, exactly how I’m going to proceed on each of them and how we got here in the first place.
You might still come to different conclusions in the end. Of course, a lot of this is based on my own opinion and risk tolerance. Nonetheless, you’ll find everything that made me reconsider in this post.
Updated (January 26th)! Please read my update #1 and #2 on Envestio, including my latest video!
I still can’t believe what happened over the past few weeks with the crowdlending platform Kuetzal. No matter whether or not you’re an investor on this P2P platform, I think you should know about it.
I never invested on the platform myself, but I know from comments and e-mails that some of you did.
Please forgive me if this information reaches you a couple of weeks after it was first discovered, I took some time off during the holidays.
Alright, let’s take a look at everything we know so far.
Before getting into it, I would like to mention that my Lendermarket review is unbiased and only based on my own experience investing on the P2P platform as well as my personal opinion.
As usual, I’m going to be fully transparent about the amount I invested, my returns so far and my account balance on Lendermarket.
Today’s review will be slightly different, as it also includes some questions I asked Lendermarket over the past few weeks. So whenever you see quotes throughout the review, that’s Omayra Roig, the project manager of business developments at Lendermarket, answering my question.
I hope you’ll find the answers useful as well!
